Repair

Air Conditioning - Repair Most air conditioner repair problems are the result of faulty installation, and poor maintenance procedures. Getting your air conditioner installed by an unqualified technician can lead to leaks, and affect the air flow of the unit. For instance, if the technician does not charge a sufficient amount of refrigerant during installation, or if it doesn't match the company's specifications, then the unit quickly develops leaks. In such a situation, air conditioner troubleshooting involves more than simply adding refrigerant. The leak has to be fixed, and then, the optimum amount of refrigerator must be charged. Besides, improper installation, there are wear and tear issues that can necessitate HVAC repairs. Most of this wear and tear can be avoided by following proper procedures. For instance, when an oversized AC switches on and off regularly, it can wear out the fan controls and compressor.

AC company in Wichita, Kansas Proper air conditioner maintenance is a common cause of air conditioner problems. For instance, if the filters and coils collect dust, it will soon lead to failure of the compressor, necessitating AC compressor repairs. One of the earliest signs that dirt and debris may be dragging down the efficiency of your air conditioning system, is a unit that cools slowly. In such a case, you can clean the condenser fins using a soft brush. You can also hose the fins, although you must take precautions to protect the motor and wiring. An air conditioner that doesn't go on immediately could be the result of a tripped breaker or blown fuse. In such a case, replacing the fuse or resetting the breaker can solve the problem. If you find your blower making noises, call an AC troubleshooting technician to conduct repairs. The belt may be incorrectly aligned or may need to be replaced.

AC repairs tend to be complex procedures, and because your air conditioner is an expensive piece of equipment, it's best not to get experimental with repairs. A central air conditioning troubleshooting technician will be able to conduct all kinds of repairs related to your unit, including AC compressor repairs, AC duct and motor repairs and other central air conditioner repair sources.

I purchased a home in October with central heat and a/c equipment installed but not running. My father was able to get the heat running but the a/c is still just equipment. From what I understand, I believe it requires expansion valve installation and refrigerant. Unfortunately, I do not know who did the original work but I do know there are no liens as it was clear when I purchased the home. I would like to know if someone can meet me out at the property to look at the equipment and see what can get done to get the a/c equipment functioning.
